Why Running Helps Clear Your Mind -- Science of Us:
Creating a void is good for your health! Letting your mind drift and daydream on a run, doing a project, doodling or even riding a motorcycle is good for your health.

Movement
If things aren’t moving the way they are supposed to move, it will have a negative impact on your ability to function at work, take care of the demands of everyday life, and even your ability to concentrate.

Time vs. Money
The VALUE of your Time, Vs. Money.
Paying yourself first in important IF you want to save money.
Paying yourself first with TIME is also important.
Here is an analogy for planning your time.
Big rocks in first.
So spent the first hour of your day taking care of your
vessel. Physical exercise, spiritual mindfulness, nutrition, physical hygiene,
etc.
You will need a strong and healthy vessel to spend the 2nd
hour on your latest project.
Spending time in advance on meal preparation is also
important.
Then use the remaining time of your day for fb,Twitter, Snapchat,
and Instagram.
Break Time into whatever pieces you want and spend it on
whatever you want. But remember time is
not money. Time is far more important than
money. You will never be able to borrow
back the time you carelessly spend. Once it is spent it is gone! And mortgaging your present TIME in hopes of
time later(I’ll do it when I retire…) Is like a failed investment.
So Take that 2 week trip now, then allow some of the less
important things to remain undone until you return. Pay yourself first with your time and let the
little things fit in where they can!

More Than Pain Relief
Chiropractic is so much more than simply a means of relieving pain. Ultimately, the goal of receiving adjustments should be to restore the body to its natural state of optimal health.

Cardiovascular Risk Factors
Which of these factors do you have control over?
LIVE LONG LIVE STRONG!
The seventh report of the Joint National Committee on Prevention, Detection, and Treatment of High Blood Pressure(JNC 7) identifies the following as major cardiovascular risk factors:

- Diabetes mellitus: component of metabolic syndrome
- Obesity (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2): component of metabolic syndrome
- Age > 55 years for men or > 65 years for women: increased risk begins at the respective ages; the Adult Treatment Panel III used earlier age cutpoints to suggest the need for earlier action

Try Chiropractic First
When your spine isn't aligned, your muscles have to bear the extra load and will become tight, painful, and inflamed. Before resorting to NSAIDs, (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) try chiropractic. *SPINE Volume 28, Number 7, pp 540-548 (April 2013)

The timeline of success or failure for New Year’s goals is fast approaching.
The timeline of success or failure for New Year’s goals is fast approaching.
In general it takes 40 days to convert a new activity into a habit.
I have listed a few tips that I hope encourage you to stay mounted on your 2015 goals.
Instead of working from the minute you wake up until you go to bed, what if you only worked six hours a day? Or four hours? This is hypothetical for most, however you’d probably use that limited time more effectively, and with more focus as well as more enthusiasm.
Try to eat for health and not to fullness.
You might try to eat at specific times of the day rather than grazing all day.
When you grocery shop experiment and buy only foods that you find on the perimeter of the store.
Incorporate spices in every dish you create.
Rather than spending mindlessly why not spend with total awareness. If you go to the store with 50 dollars cash then you will shop with awareness. Credit cards contribute to mindless spending. This is truly tough to do. It occurred to me the discipline it takes when I had left my wallet at home therefore I had to know what I was spending as I only had cash and a limited amount of cash on me. I had to put several items back as I surpassed the amount of cash on me.
If you want to succeed in a new activity rather it be reading the bible, working out, or engaging in a new hobby then I suggest scheduling time for it first thing in your day.

66 degrees is a healthy sleep temperature
It's time to Chill!
The NIH reports sleeping at 66 degrees improves energy and improves insulin sensitivity.
And it also reduces drying of air passages and sinuses. Hence less upper respiratory infections.
So use that programmable thermostat to lower your sleeping temperature.
Be healthy,

My chiropractic guide to food additives
|
Here
is a list of additives to eliminate from your diet:
- Nitrites and Nitrates
- Potassium Bromate
- Propyl Paraben
- Butylated Hydroxyanisole (BHA)
- Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT)
- Propyl Gallate
- Theobromine
- Diacetyl
- Phosphates
10. Aluminum additives
Natural and Artificial Flavors
What’s particularly alarming when you see a word like “artificial
flavor” or even “natural flavor” on an ingredients label is that there’s no way
to know what it actually means. It could mean that one unnatural additive is
included, or it could be a blend of hundreds of additives. Strawberry
artificial flavor can contain nearly 50 chemical ingredients, for example.8
Most people assume that a natural flavor describes something like strawberries,
garlic, or chili pepper used to naturally season food. In reality, most natural
flavors are created in a laboratory, just like artificial flavors. The only
difference is that natural flavors must be sourced from a natural product,
whereas artificial flavors do not. According to the Code of Federal Regulations:9
“The term natural flavor or natural flavoring means the essential
oil, oleoresin, essence or extractive, protein hydrolysate, distillate, or any
product of roasting, heating or enzymolysis. These contain the flavoring
constituents derived from a spice, fruit or fruit juice, vegetable or vegetable
juice, edible yeast, herb, bark, bud, root, leaf or similar plant material,
meat, seafood, poultry, eggs, dairy products, or fermentation products thereof,
whose significant function in food is flavoring rather than nutritional.”
In the end, natural flavors often bear little resemblance to the
natural product from which they came. Many times, the resulting chemical may
even be identical to those created synthetically to make artificial flavors,
yet it will likely be more expensive. Some natural flavors even contain
propylene glycol, a solvent, or the preservative BHA! Genetically
engineered flavor enhancers can
also be listed under the artificial flavor (or natural flavor) label. One
exception is certified organic natural flavors, which must meet more stringent
guidelines and cannot contain synthetic or genetically engineered ingredients
My suggestion
to the easiest way to eliminate processed foods from your diet:
·
Read labels.
·
Buy fresh whole foods and prepare them
yourself.
- Buy 90% fresh whole foods and only 10%
processed foods.
Be strong and
healthy,
