My Chiropractic approach to preventing prediabetes a precursor to some forms of cancer

Prediabetes Associated With Increase in Cancer Risk

Prediabetes — even at lower levels of impaired fasting glucose (IFG) as defined by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) — is associated with a significant increase in cancer risk that is independent of the effects of obesity, according to the results of a large new meta-analysis.
It was found that prediabetes was associated with a 15% increased risk for cancer overall, based on data derived from 16 prospective cohort studies, with differing risks depending on the type of cancer. The risk was particularly increased for liver cancer and stomach or colorectal cancer.

reasons for the association between prediabetes and increased cancer risk, Dr. Huang from First People's Hospital of Shunde, Foshan, China,  and colleagues suggest that chronic hyperglycemia and resulting states, including chronic oxidative stress and the accumulation of advanced glycated end products, may serve as carcinogens.
What is Oxidative stress?  Oxidative stress reflects an imbalance between free radicals and a person’s biological ability to detoxify the free radicals or to repair the resulting damage. Disturbances in the normal redox state of cells can cause toxic effects through the production of peroxides and free radicals that damage the cell proteins, lipids, and DNA. Thus, oxidative stress can cause disruptions in normal cellular communication.  In humans, oxidative stress is thought to be involved in the development of cancer.
Increased insulin resistance of prediabetes increases insulin secretion, and increased insulin levels may promote the growth of cancer cells.  Certain genetic mutations may also predispose individuals with prediabetes to an elevated cancer risk.
So How does one prevent prediabetes?
1.       Exercise
2.       Nutrition with low glycemic index foods as well as  diet high in fiber.
3.       Including foods with Omega 3 fatty acids in your daily food intake.
O3 F.A. are found in foods such as nuts, avocados, olive oil, berries.
4.       Reduce stress.
My wish for your life is for you to ‘Be Strong and to possess a Quality of life that others envy’.

New dental technique repairs damaged teeth naturally, negates need for injections, drillings and fillings - NaturalNews.com

New dental technique repairs damaged teeth naturally, negates need for injections, drillings and fillings - NaturalNews.com:

I have been quite perplexed by the progression of a dental caries over time.  You get a filling the filling has a short life span then you undergo a second filling and then the tooth's walls are to weak to sustain the second filling so then you undergo a crown and with time the crown requires replacement and then you require a root canal.  All at a great expense!  Rather than drilling into an affected tooth and filling it with material to build up its structure again, a damaged tooth can instead be treated with the help of their new technology, Electrically Accelerated and Enhanced Remineralization (EAER), a technique that uses a small electric current to speed up a tooth's natural remineralization process and, in turn, repair teeth without the need for drilling, injections and fillings.

I look forward to this technique being implemented.

Tylenol of no benefit in Back pain

Low Back Pain: Paracetamol No Better than Placebo

Paracetamol, also known as acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Tylenol and other common over-the-counter pain medicines, is no better than a placebo when it comes to reducing acute low back pain or shortening recovery time. Currently, paracetamol is universally recommended as the first-line analgesic for low back pain, but these recent findings suggest that this approach should be reevaluated and perhaps revised.

Eye relief is in sight!

Eye relief is in sight!

Corrective Display Can Take the Place of Eyewear.

Tech developers are working on a tablet display that corrects for vision problems, thereby allowing users to take a break from their corrective eyewear while using the device. The engineers have developed software that adjusts the light emitted from each pixel on the screen to compensate for the individual user's visual impairment. When combined with a thin plastic pinhole filter, the prototype display worked as designed. It is hoped that the displays will eventually be able to simultaneously allow multiple users with various vision impairments to view an image clearly. More on the subject..

A Tip to limit exposure to bugs, flu, viruses, and bacteria

May I suggest the new era of a handshake?  It’s best to  fist bump and high-five or go retro with a Victorian-age bow or curtsy all which will be even safer in the flu season.
